Shafiq Husayn is one-third of the brains behind LA's spaced out funk collective Sa-Ra Creative Partners. Widely regarded to have pioneered what is now known as the "LA sound", Sa-Ra has influenced beat makers and producers in LA and the world a like.
2009 marked the year of Shafiq's first solo venture, his fully instrumental LP "The Frequency Clash" took us along for an experimental beat excursion through the minds of his alter-egos. Now in 2012 we are proud to take you for a behind-the-scenes look at his forthcoming release "The LooP". In which he has collaborated with the likes of Jimetta Rose, J. Mitchell, Breezy Lovejoy, Mic Holden, and Thundercat.
